Tell Tesco to lose the lads’ mags!

Tesco is the UK’s biggest retailer. A high-street brand this big would never allow ‘girly calendars’ on their shop walls. So why do they have sexist, degrading lads’ mags on their shelves?

Lads’ mags are harmful. They portray women as dehumanised sex objects. This fuels sexist attitudes and behaviours and creates a conducive context for violence against women.

Selling lads’ mags can also breach equality legislation. Exposing staff and customers to lads’ mags can constitute sexual harassment or sex discrimination under the Equality Act.

It’s time for Tesco to lose the lads’ mags. Email, Tweet and Facebook them today!
